An LP updraft forms behind outflow produced by earlier storms. We watch this severe thunderstorm for a while, witnessing occasional intra-cloud lightning. Then we head to Omaha, Nebraska to get into position for tomorrow's storm chasing possibilities. When we get to Omaha, we are greeted by 1.5-2.25" diameter hail, which pounds us as we arrive at our hotel to check in on the west side of town! Sometimes, we cannot escape the severe weather, even after we declare an end to the day's storm chasing activity!
