June 3, 3003 Texas Panhandle Chase:

I  started the day chasing a supercell that moved just east of Lubbock, TX.  This storm had a nice wall cloud and followed the storm for an hour as it moved west of Slaton, TX.  However the storm became outflow dominate, so I decided to target storms that may develop over the southwest Texas Panhandle.  Due to the 2 hour drive, starting at 5:30 PM, I was late for the Friona tornadoes!!!  However, I stuck with this supercell as it transformed back into a classic supercell and nearly produced a tornado about 12 miles SSE of Muleshoe, TX.  The storm became a high based dust dabber as it headed east of Needmore, TX.  I left it west of Leveland.  Overall the storm structure was quite impressive and I was very satisfied with my chase!
