Chase Summary: April 6, 2002
|
|
The storm environment looked favorable over northeast Texas for tornadic supercells on Sunday April 6. Since I had the day off work, so I decided to chase. I noticed early on that storms going up on the dryline looked like mush balls and was hoping that one storm would get it's act together. It turned out to be a disappointing chase day. I got on a storm west of Detroit, TX that produced dime size hail and had a rotating wall cloud. The wall cloud became outflow dominate and I let the storm move northeast into southeast Oklahoma. I had a long drive back to Lubbock! Warning: The content of this site, including but not limited to the text and images herein and their arrangement, are copyright © 2001 Silver Lining Tours, L.C.
