NOTES:

  1. Texas A&M never has any data and hasn't for quite some time. Don't use it!

  2. For all short-range model output and current analyses, NCAR is best! Thank you Greg Thompson and keep up the good work!

  3. The Texas A&M Severe Weather Warnings Page is a one-of-its-kind graphical interface for getting the latest watches and warnings of any type for the entire U.S.

  4. For medium-range output, I like Purdue. COLA has nice quality ETA and MRF plots, though. NOTE: Purdue is very slow during weekday afternoons!

  5. The UW model can resolve smaller scales better than the ETA; It is a 2-way interactive nested grid model used for studying convection and its interaction with the larger scale environment. Use it with a grain of salt and in conjunction with other products when making a convective forecast!

  6. Rick's Weather Page is a concise gathering of a lot of the most commonly sought after weather data - its nice to have it all on one page!

  7. The Climate Diagnostics Center's ensemble suite is the output of a set of realizations of MRF forecast data generated by running the MRF from various initial conditions. Also portrayed are some basic statistical output (mean and standard deviation) associated with the ensemble clusters. This provides some way of accounting for the stochastic uncertainty associated with a particular forecast.
