Tour Guide

This will be my 8th year Storm Chasing in Tornado Alley and my first year with Silver Lining Tours. I am excited about joining the SLT team and look forward to the expertise, knowledge and excitement  this organization has to offer. A Structural Designer by trade, I've lived in Texas all my life and we have more than our fair share of severe weather, so my interest was sparked at a very young age. I've always been fascinated by hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms or one of nature's grandest spectacles, lightening. In 2004, I was deployed to Florida to conduct FEMA disaster inspections. I drove through the north east quadrant of hurricane Frances to reach Tampa on schedule and rode out hurricane Jeanne in Ocala, Florida the following month. In 2005, I worked for the Texas Dept of Emergency Management doing disaster work in East Texas on Hurricane Rita. I am always asked why I chase those things that most people run away from. I believe it is a combination of the spirit of adventure, the desire to learn the technical aspects of weather formations and the advantage to witness the awesome power and beauty of some of nature's most amazing phenomenon. Storm chasing in Tornado Alley gives you the opportunity to witness all types of weather formations in the open expanse of the plains. I look forward to meeting each of you and to help make your chase a safe and rewarding experience!
